At Ignite Psychology, we are dedicated to helping children and teens overcome anxiety and build stronger, more positive lives. That's why we are proud to offer the Cool Kids Anxiety Program, a structured, evidence-based approach to helping young people ages 7-17 manage anxiety and lead fulfilling, healthy lives.
The Cool Kids Anxiety Program is based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and teaches practical skills for managing anxiety. The program is structured over 10 sessions, held over a minimum of 10 weeks, and can be run with individuals or in a group, in a clinical or school setting.
Our team of skilled professionals will work with both the child and parent to help them understand and overcome anxiety, providing ongoing support and guidance throughout the treatment process.
Through the Cool Kids Anxiety Program, participants will learn how to:
Develop an understanding of anxiety and how it affects the body and mind
Learn practical skills for managing anxiety, such as relaxation techniques, problem-solving, and challenging negative thoughts
Increase self-awareness and emotional intelligence
Develop confidence and competence in managing anxiety and stress
Enhance communication and problem-solving skills within the parent-child relationship
Improve school attendance, academic achievement, and involvement in extra-curricular activities
Decrease worry, shyness, fear, and family distress
